Why saying "Arrivederci" instead of saying "Addio" is the best thing you can do

Sometimes we want to believe that things last forever.
Sometimes we want to believe that we have so much time.
Sometimes we want to believe that we will always have a second chance available.
It is not always the case.

People are not part of our lives forever.
We meet them, we get to know them, we talk to them, we argue with them, we share experiences with them, then we have to say goodbye to them.
What makes the difference is what we learned, what we will remember, what we felt and thought.
Because of them.

Sometimes we do not even realize when someone walks away.
Sometimes, on the other hand, we know that this is the end of an era.

When this happens, there is only one thing to do: smile and be happy to have had the opportunity to meet that special someone and to have shared some time together.
To be able to see things with new eyes, because of them.
To be able to see that nothing is forever, not even the goodbyes.

This one is for G. and for J.
Thanks for everything, and take care.
